Her name is Elizabeth Nalem, a woman who has been married for 20 years and who is the mother of 6 children. She is a Kenyan national from the town of Makutano, West Pokot County. Her husband, Joshua Nalem, is said to be in utter confusion, not knowing what to do after his wife left the marital home to dedicate her life to the church.

“One day she went to church and when she came back, she started waking up at 3 a.m. to go pray. I asked her why she was braving the cold just to pray, but instead, she decided to move to a nearby farm,” Joshua said.

He tried to convince her not to leave, but she refused. She told him she would return once her “spiritual husband” gave her permission.

Her neighbor, Pastor Albert Rumaita, granted Elizabeth’s wish by celebrating this special marriage. He was also the one who bought her the wedding dress and even made sure that a convoy of cars would escort her on the big day.

“I made the decision to celebrate, organize and fund the wedding because the end of the world may be near and because I am her neighbor,” said Pastor Albert.

After the wedding, Elizabeth, very delighted, declared that she was done serving the world and that she had now changed her life to serve God. She also revealed that she had closed her business.

According to her, she is about to travel to Uganda for her honeymoon, which is even more shocking considering her solo plans. She added that she wanted to serve God.
