Now,let us discuss this issue of Mrs Alison Anna , a quite pretty woman who tried but failed to block the royal wedding of the Kyabazinga,William Gabula Nadiope and his queen Jovia Mutesi.

INSIDE A ROYAL “SCANDAL”! 

Some weeks before the royal marriage,a woman identified as Alison Anna Nadiope has petitioned the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda His Grace Dr. Stephen Kazimba Mugalu in her continued attempts to block the royal wedding, where the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Nadiope IV was scheduled to wed Jovia Mutesi on November 18, 2023 at Christ’s Cathedral – Bugembe in Jinja City.

BUT WHY? 

Alison claims that the Kyabazinga is a married man. In her petition to the Archbishop, dated November 8, 2023; Alison alleges that she got married to the Kyabazinga in December 2016 in Portsmouth, England, under Marriage Certificate AK594729L, and also claims that they have two children aged eight and six.

“This serves to notify the church of our client’s objection and request that the honerable Church of Uganda does not proceed to wed Mr. William Kadhumbula Gabula, the Kyabazinga of Busoga with Ms Jovia Mutesi during the subsistence of our client’s marriage as the same would amount to bigamy and contrary to church norms,” Alison through her lawyers of Mugerwa & Partners says. The petition was received on November 9, 2023

WHO IS ALISON ? 

Alison is a Ugandan nurse based in the United Kingdom (UK). In October, 16, 2023 letter to the head of clans (through lawyers), she also notified the entire Busoga kingdom that she got married in the civil court in the United Kingdom to the Kyabazinga in December 2016.

AND WHO IS MUTESI? 

The already Inhebantu of Busoga, Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi is the daughter of Stanley Bayoole, the Resident District Commissioner-RDC of Bulambuli district who also served as the former mayor of Mayuge town council, according to the Katukiiro of Busoga Kingdom Dr. Joseph Muvawala.

WHAT DOES SHE ASK FOR?

Ms Alison Anna asked the Kingdom of Busoga to give her shs 750 million as ‘compensation’ for the investment she has put in the royal leader, or to stop the wedding.But she failed.

Powerful and strong officials and individuals from Busoga and eastern Uganda at large, including the former Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga and others fully supported and defended the Kyabazinga marriage without worrying about this royal scandal.

BUSOGA KINGDOM’S REPLY: KYABAZINGA HAS NEVER BEEN MARRIED TO ANYONE

The Prime Minister of Busoga Kingdom, Dr Joseph Muvawala has dismissed what he labelled as fake documents circulating on social media with the intent to block the Busoga Royal Wedding.

“Kyabazinga has never been married to anyone, has never sired any children, he is not a British citizen and the purported Alison Anne Gabula is unknown to him and has never been married to his majesty,” Dr Muvawala said in a press release dated November 11,2023
