Sébastien Lecornu reappointed as Prime Minister four days after his resignation. His challenge is immense, but his devotion to Emmanuel Macron and his self-described “monk-soldier” dedication made him the president’s number one choice. Sébastien Lecornu was officially reappointed as Prime Minister on Friday, October 10, at 9:59 p.m., only four days after stepping down.
Shortly after, Lecornu posted on X that he accepted his reinstatement at Matignon “out of duty,” amid a major political crisis, and assured that “all the issues” raised during consultations would be “open for parliamentary debate.”
“Those entering the government must commit to distancing themselves from presidential ambitions for 2027,” he repeated, effectively excluding from the executive the head of the Republicans and resigning Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau.
Here are the 34 ministers of the government led by Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu. All are scheduled to meet on Tuesday at 10 a.m. for their first Council of Ministers:

Great article! I really appreciate the way you explained everything so clearly – it feels like you put a lot of effort into making it useful for readers. I’ve been exploring different tools and resources myself, and recently started using https://webdesignfreelancermunchen.de/ by Abdul, professional webdesigner in bamberg. It’s been a game changer for me, and reading your post actually gave me even more ideas on how to apply it. Thanks for sharing such valuable insights!
