His name is Gerald Mayo, he was a 22-year-old inmate at the Western Penitentiary in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the USA. In 1971, he filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. In that complaint (Mayo v. Satan & his staff, 54 FRD 282 (WD Pa. 1971)

Satan & his staff, 54 FRD 282 (WD Pa. 1971) it alleges that “Satan repeatedly caused the plaintiff’s misery, threatened him without justification, against his will, and that Satan placed deliberate obstacles in his way to cause the plaintiff’s downfall.” and thus “deprived him of his constitutional rights” in violation of the United States Code. Life was becoming too difficult for him and there was no way it could be a bad coincidence for him. He explains:

“Satan has many times brought misery and unjustified threats against me; Satan deliberately places obstacles in my path and has repeatedly caused my downfall. So he deprived me of my constitutional rights.”

The verdict?

Of course, Judge Weber of the Pennsylvania Court of Justice, who was in charge of the Mayo vs. Satan case, denied his request for a waiver of fees and continued the case by stating:

“The court has serious doubts that the complaint discloses a cause of action on which a trial can be granted as they had serious doubts. Because who would be able to spot the devil and send him straight to jail? “

According to the U.S. Code, “it is forbidden to charge someone who cannot be prosecuted.”

The court also questioned the need to act because of the complaint, which did not provide any indication as to the complainant’s place of residence.
