A violinist played for 45 minutes in a subway in New York, USA. A handful of people stopped, a few applauded, and the violinist managed to collect about $30 in tips. No one knew it, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world.

On that subway, Joshua played one of the most intricate pieces ever written with a $3.5 million violin. Two days before he played in the subway, Joshua Bell had sold out a Boston theater and regular seats cost $100. End of the anecdote!

So what? The secret?

There are brilliantly talented people everywhere who don’t get the recognition and reward they deserve where they are! But once they arm themselves with value and confidence and withdraw from an environment that doesn’t serve them, they thrive and grow.
