Le Royaume-Uni imposera bientôt des sanctions au Rwanda en raison de son soutien au groupe rebelle M23 dans l’est du Congo, selon le ministre des Affaires étrangères pour l’Afrique Ray Collins.
S’exprimant lors d’une réunion du Conseil des droits de l’homme de l’ONU, Collins a confirmé que la Grande-Bretagne avait communiqué sa position au Rwanda et qu’elle agirait sous peu.Cette décision fait suite aux récentes sanctions américaines contre James Kabarebe, un proche allié du président rwandais Paul Kagame, que le Rwanda a condamnées comme injustifiées.
